Why Start Your PADI Open Water Referral Training with Northern Underwater Explorers?

  • Exceptional Training – The majority of your training takes place in the classroom and pool, with open water dives primarily serving as a means to assess your learned skills. At Northern Underwater Explorers, you can trust that you’ll receive world-class training to prepare you for your underwater adventures.
  • Experienced Instructors – Our instructors are highly trained and possess extensive experience. Many of our lead instructors have dedicated years to training divers!
  • More Time for Relaxation on Your Vacation – By commencing your training here, you'll spend less time learning during your holiday, allowing for more time to enjoy your trip.
  • Connection to Your Local Dive Centre – Northern Underwater Explorers is your neighborhood dive centre, dedicated to fulfilling all your diving needs, regardless of where you choose to dive. Enjoy the same level of expertise and service that our local diving clients do. Once you complete your course on your holiday, we look forward to helping you with your next diving adventure or showing you all the local diving opportunities we offer!

Not All PADI Open Water Courses Are Created Equal – at Northern Underwater Explorers, you will
benefit from:

  • Low Student-to-Instructor Ratios – We pride ourselves on maintaining a low ratio of 3 to 4 students per instructor in both the pool and open water. This enables our instructors to provide personalized attention and teach you more in-depth skills to enhance your diving experience. Many other dive centres may have as many as 8 students per instructor.
  • Customized Information and Training – Over the years, we've discovered that comprehensive training leads to a more enjoyable diving experience. To achieve this, Northern Underwater Explorers has developed a unique program that surpasses the basic PADI Open Water Diver course. In our program, you will learn:
    - How to achieve better buoyancy control
    - Proper positioning in the water (trim)
    - Effective movement through the water using various propulsion techniques
    - More efficient diving with your buddy
    - And much more!
