
Course overview
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a vital progression for divers looking to enhance their knowledge, confidence, and experience. This course equips you with the skills necessary for effective in-water rescues, managing diving emergencies, and developing crucial self-rescue techniques. Throughout the program, you will engage in four knowledge development topics, practice self-rescue skills, complete 10 rescue exercises, and participate in two rescue scenarios.

PREREQUISITES
- Minimum age of 12 years
- PADI Adventure / Advanced Open Water Certification
- Emergency First Response (CPR / First Aid) training completed within the past 24 months. This training is offered in conjunction with the PADI Rescue Course.
MEDICAL STATEMENT
All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to any in-water activities. If you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions, please consult with Northern Underwater Explorers, as you may need to see a physician before starting the course.

- 1 Rescue Theory Session
- 2 Open Water Training Days (which count as 5 dives)
- All essential scuba equipment (regulator, BCD, tanks, and weights)

- Pocket Mask: $36.00 – Yours to keep!
- Drysuit – Rentals available for $105.00 (includes hood, boots, and gloves; previous drysuit experience or training is required)
- Dive Computer – Rentals available for $45.00
- Compass – Rentals available for $22.00
- Dive Light – Rentals available for $34.00
- Fins – Rentals available for $42.00
Current First Aid / CPR Certification must be within 24 months. Northern Underwater Explorers schedules the Emergency First Response (EFR) training alongside the PADI Rescue course for individuals needing CPR / First Aid refreshers at an additional cost of $259.99 (based on two or more participants).
You can also add Emergency Oxygen Provider Training for only $249.99 (based on two or more participants).
Individual Training is available for an additional $350.00.

Course Price: $749.99 + GST
BASIC SWIMMING ABILITY AND COMFORT IN WATER REQUIRED
Students must complete a 200 m free swim or a 300 m swim with mask, snorkel, and fins, plus a 10-
minute float as part of the course requirements. If you’re uncertain about meeting this requirement,
please contact us for assistance.
