The Northern Underwater Explorers Pool Refresher offers a comprehensive review of essential diving skills, including equipment assembly and disassembly, hand signals, buoyancy techniques, and emergency procedures for out-of-air situations, all under the guidance of one of our expert PADI Instructors. Upon completion of your refresher, your instructor can sign your logbook, or we can provide you with a letter (upon request) as proof of your completed refresher training.
Optional PADI Reactivate – For an extra $103.00, you can choose to add the PADI Reactivate program. This program includes Reactivate eLearning, which refreshes your theoretical knowledge, as well as a new, updated certification card.

At Northern Underwater Explorers, we Northern Underwater Explorers is known for our highly skilled and experienced instructors who prioritize safety and exceptional training standards. Your instructor will tailor your training to your individual needs, offering tips to improve your descents, ascents, buoyancy, and trim, as well as teaching advanced finning techniques.
We offer this program on an individual basis. Contact Northern Underwater Explorers to book your course today! Training sessions are available on weekends and midweek. In some instances, we may add students to the course, but we always maintain a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 3 to 1.
PREREQUISITES
- Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum age of 10 years
- If it's been a while since you completed your training or had an open water dive, please consult with our staff to discuss the best options for refreshing your scuba skills.
MASK & SNORKEL REQUIREMENTS
For reasons of fit, comfort, and hygiene, courses do not include a mask and
snorkel. Therefore, students are required to provide their own personal mask and snorkel for the
program.
Northern Underwater Explorers students receive a 15% discount on all diving masks and
snorkels.
MEDICAL STATEMENT
All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to any in-water activities. If you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions, please consult with Northern Underwater Explorers, as you may need to see a physician before starting the course.

- One pool session – approximately 1 hour of in-water time
- All necessary basic pool equipment (including regulator, BCD, tank, weights, and wetsuit)

- Rentals for personal equipment and PADI Reactivate can be purchased as Add-Ons through our Course Registration.

Course Price: $349.99 + GST
BASIC SWIMMING ABILITY AND COMFORT IN WATER REQUIRED
Students must complete a 200 m free swim or a 300 m swim with mask, snorkel, and fins, plus a 10-
minute float as part of the course requirements. If you’re uncertain about meeting this requirement,
please contact us for assistance.
